A dental porcelain veneer is an artificial tooth that covers the front surface of a tooth like a mask. For those who are wondering what they are made of, the main material is the glass particles mixed with various substances such as lithium disilicate. In contrast to dental crowns, porcelain laminate veneers require minimum amount of tooth surface reduction. Therefore, dentists consider porcelain veneers as one of the least invasive aesthetic dental procedures. Moreover, unlike the traditional porcelain fused to metal (PFM) crowns, porcelain veneers do not have a black metal base. This makes them look much more natural and aesthetic.

HOW LONG DO I NEED TO STAY IN TURKEY FOR EMAX LAMINATE VENEERS?

Emax Laminate Veneers are completed in our in-house dental laboratory within only 48 hours. We advice patients to stay for an extra day for last checks before they travel back to their country. Ideally, 4 or 5 days of accommodation are enough for the complete procedure.

IS IT A REVERSIBLE PROCEDURE?

Even though Conventional Laminate Veneer procedure require minimum amount of tooth preparation, the tooth tissue that is removed does not comeback naturally. Therefore, conventional dental laminate veneer is a non-reversible procedure.

However, this is not the case with prepless dental veneers. As the name suggests, prepless laminate veneers do not require any tooth tissue removal which makes it a reversible procedure.

HOW LONG DO PORCELAIN DENTAL VENEERS LAST?

From the tooth preparation to the laboratory work of new dental veneers, there are a few tricks that professional dentists follow in order to make porcelain laminate veneers last longer. Thickness of the porcelain restoration, the depth of the tooth tissue removal, cement material are highly important factors for the life expectancy of porcelain veneers.

You should look after your veneers as if they are your natural teeth; brush gently with a soft or medium-bristle tooth brush with 45 degree’s angulation towards the gums, twice a day. Also, flossing will let you clean the areas that a toothbrush can not reach.
